As part of its ongoing corporate social commitment and dedication to climate action, colleagues from Germany recently came together in Bokhorst, northern Germany for a tree-planting initiative in partnership with Plant-My-Tree®. This year, Bertling Logistics will donate 500 trees on behalf of the company and its global customers.
The event marked the renewal of the company’s climate partnership with the environmental organization and highlighted its continued focus on sustainability, environmental responsibility, and long-term ecological impact.
Set against the natural landscape of northern Germany, our team planted a mix of deep-rooted young trees that will contribute to the restoration of local forests and support biodiversity in the region, which has been suffering strong winds, harsh weather and the devastating bark beetle, which – in combination – make the lives of low-rooted trees – like spruce in particular, difficult.
The initiative not only reinforced the company’s environmental goals but also provided colleagues with an opportunity to actively engage in meaningful climate action together.
Our partnership with Plant-My-Tree® reflects our commitment to creating a more sustainable future
said Therese Strootmann, member of the Sustainability Team at Bertling Logistics, during the event.
“By taking practical action and involving our employees directly, we want to contribute positively to climate protection while strengthening our culture of responsibility and teamwork”
Stephanie Luening, also a member of the Sustainability Team, continues.
The renewed partnership continues a shared mission to support reforestation projects across Germany and offset environmental impacts through measurable and lasting initiatives. Tree planting plays an important role in carbon sequestration, habitat protection, and the long-term resilience of ecosystems. Read more: Renewal of partnership with Plant My Tree.
