In line with our Sustainability KPI for April “Corporate Volunteering”, we invited our German colleagues to donate items to Hanseatic Help e.V. as per the list of urgently needed items, which is available on their website.
We were happy to see many colleagues “clearing” their wardrobes and donating baby, children, and men/women clothes and hygiene items. A big thank you to all colleagues who contributed.
Last week, we delivered the items to Hanseatic Help e.V. who were very happy to see us again and appreciate our continuous support. But that was not it. This time we came to also volunteer in their Help Store in Altona.
Our colleagues Therese Strootmann and Stephanie Luening went to help for 2 hours and it was quite heartwarming to see how much support/donations Hanseatic Help e.V. receives and how much their hard work is appreciated by people in need.
In their Altona Help Store, we supported sorting and preparing clothes for kids and adults per size and refilling the shelves in the store. While doing this, we watched a family from Ukraine with their child, who could not be more excited to try on the latest summer clothing people donated. Here are a few pictures:
