Our dynamic, international organization is currently seeking a dynamic In-House Paralegal – Commercial Contracts to join our team for an exciting opportunity in the UK.

The successful applicant will be involved with:

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide variety of commercial contracts.
  • Review and prepare NDA’s, and other confidentiality agreements.
  • Assist with the preparation of sub-contracting agreements and other general commercial agreements.
  • Work with existing bespoke clauses and the development of new ones.
  • Implementing contract amendments in consultation with the Contracts Manager.
  • Assisting with the drafting and managing of responses on contract disputes.
  • Maintaining the organisation of contracts post-signature including the registration of contracts with insurers.
  • Supporting the various stakeholders with legal queries.
  • Drafting templates and legal documents.
  • Archiving and maintaining records of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Work closely with the Contracts Manager and provide cover for holidays/absences.
  • General legal assistance.

The successful applicant will have/be:

  • Law Degree (2:1 or above) from a recognised university or PgDL equivalent, is essential
  • CILEX Diploma, LPC, SQE or Paralegal certification is desired
  • Working as a paralegal with commercial contracts would be desirable but we will also accept CVs from newly qualified paralegals/legal executives without experience.
  • A second language such as Spanish would be beneficial
  • Strong contract drafting skills (essential)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
  • Maintain confidentiality (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgement and decision-making skills
  • Advanced and appropriate IT skills
  • A humbleness to learn, to accept instructions and directions from the Contracts Manager will be key soft skills.
  • Have a solutions-based mind-set and be a problem solver
