On this International Day of Climate Action, we at Bertling Logistics reaffirm our deep commitment to protecting the planet, by reducing our corporate emission and the emissions generated through our services to contribute our part for building a resilient, sustainable future for generations to come. Climate change is not a distant challenge - it is a present reality that demands responsibility, innovation, and bold action from companies, governments, and people alike.
Our updated three-step process
With our Sustainability Solution, our customers can transport their goods around the world in a responsible manner by (1) measuring, (2) reducing and (3) contributing through compensation or donation for their emissions. Step 3 has been renamed from 'Compensation' to 'Contribution' as it offers two ways to contribute:
3.1 Compensation through one of our global ClimatePartner compensation projects
3.2 – Donation through tree planting for European tree planting projects by ClimatePartner.
Depending on their sustainability commitment, customers can choose between these options, selecting either compensation for their carbon footprint (option 3.1, which can be accounted as a reduction) or a donation (option 3.2, which is accounted as CSR and not a reduction) – fully in line with their requirements. Both contribution options come with official certificates from ClimatePartner that can be used for sustainability reporting.
