Business travel is essential for many companies, but unfortunately those travels generate unavoidable emissions. It is thus important to consider how we all can travel smarter and meet more sustainably to mitigate those emissions and thus reduce our environmental impact.
At Bertling Logistics long-lasting business relationships are a top priority, and we love to travel to our clients and partners to develop and strengthen our collaboration even further. We believe that strong connections not only yield higher results but also enable more efficient problem-solving and greater resilience - something especially important in today’s fast-changing and disruptive environment.
At the same time, we are committed to making our business travel more mindful. As part of this month’s sustainability KPI, we placed a special focus on responsible travel and sustainable meetings. Our offices were asked to report and compensate for all business air travel through certified climate projects via ClimatePartner. In addition, we published an internal guide on sustainable meetings, including recommendations such as choosing lower-impact travel alternatives and optimizing scheduling.
