Offsetting
Offsetting refers to the practice of compensating for environmental impacts, such as carbon emissions, by investing in projects that reduce or remove emissions elsewhere. Common examples include reforestation, renewable energy projects, and carbon capture initiatives. The goal is to balance out emissions that cannot be fully avoided within a company’s operations or supply chain.
