A route that wasn't exactly built for easy access.
Our Indonesia team recently took on the challenge of moving a 53-tonne transformer from the port to its final position on site.
The journey included narrow access roads, tight turns and pipe racks with limited space overhead. One section in particular presented a challenge: there wasn't enough room to move the transformer through safely.

Finding another way
So the team came up with another way...
After detailed calculations, they designed and installed a temporary bridge, allowing the transformer to pass safely over the obstruction. The team could then jack and skid the transformer into its final position.
Three days ahead of schedule
The entire operation was completed in 10 working days, beating the original 13-day schedule by three days. And while speed was a great result, safety came first. The project was completed with zero accidents and no damage to the transformer. A successful heavy-lift operation built on good planning, smart engineering and a team working together to find a way forward.
