Time-critical logistics leaves little room for delay.
Our Singapore team was recently tasked with an urgent hand-carry shipment of 125 kg of critical components from Malaysia to Darwin, supporting an offshore natural gas project.
POL: Malaysia
POD: Darwin, Australia
Industry: Oil & Gas / Airfreight
Volume: 7 cartons / 125 kg
Bertling Team: Singapore
The shipment consisted of seven cartons and needed to reach the project site by the following morning. The request came in with only a few hours to spare, requiring the team to arrange the collection, secure the flight and coordinate customs clearance within the same day.
A deadline that could not be missed
The components were needed for an onward vessel departure from Darwin on Friday afternoon. Missing the sailing could have meant an additional eight-day delay to the offshore delivery, potentially affecting the project schedule.
With the deadline approaching, our Singapore team coordinated the entire operation closely, keeping the shipment moving through each stage and resolving challenges as they arose.
The result: all seven cartons were delivered safely, right on schedule, and ready for the next leg of their journey offshore.
