The successful applicant will be involved with:
Including, but not limited to:
- Booking cargo with airline / steamship line
- Preparation of shipping, government well as control export/import customs documentation
- Complete export/import screening
- Arrange filing of rates through the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) third party website
- AES filing
- Coordinate inland transportation of all areas of the shipments
- Coordinate with warehouse for packing, loading and shipping
- Maintain shipment files according to established ISO procedures
- Meet all haz-mat documentation and TSA requirements
- Prepare and submit client billing
- Review, approve all invoices and close shipment file according to established ISO procedures
- Assist to satisfy reporting requirements set by the project or senior management
- Assist to ensure completion of any project specific requirement
- Assist in keeping the client or Project Manager informed of any issues that could delay and/or incur extra expense to the shipment
The successful applicant will have/be:
- Minimum 3+ years logistics experience
- General knowledge of import/export documentation, geographical knowledge and regulations
- Good computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Good organization skills
- DG and TSA training/certification, upon hiring (as applicable)
- Export Compliance and AES knowledge
