The successful applicant will be involved with:

• Overall responsibility for transport orders and project management
• Supporting and communicating with customers, agents, and our international Bertling branches
• Preparing, calculating, and executing offers for spot, daily, and project business
• Creating freight documents, freight and outgoing invoices, including customs documents
• Monitoring compliance with dangerous goods regulations
• Checking incoming and outgoing invoices, files, and monthly statements
• Ensuring quality standards and compliance with legal regulations
• Supplier management and operational control of external service providers
• Establishing and maintaining long-term customer relationships to secure follow-up orders
• Preparing internal and external reports
• Analyzing and optimizing logistics processes to increase efficiency and service quality
• Controlling, monitoring, and reporting on the current project status
• Managing all project-related activities

The successful applicant will have/be:

• Completed training as a forwarding agent or a comparable degree
• Several years of experience in the operational handling of air, sea, and project transport
• Comprehensive understanding of international supply chains and freight forwarding processes
• Commercial understanding and analytical skills
• Ability to understand complex issues and act in a solution-oriented manner
• Strong customer service awareness, proactive mindset
• Enjoyment of establishing and maintaining customer and supplier relationships
• Strong communication skills, team-oriented and structured, independent way of working
• Initial experience with a TMS (transport management system) desirable
• Business fluent in German and English, as well as good knowledge of MS Office
