Bertling Malaysia participates in Oscar Mission
Local charity work during COVID-19
Bertling Logistics in Malaysia collaborates with the local Non-Government Organisation (NGO) "OSCAR Mission Malaysia" during Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia. This NGO was founded in 2013 by a group of 100 professionals with an integrated and coordinated end-to-end supply chain.
Bertling and other logistics companies, shipping lines, airlines and cargo freighters leverage their networks and connections to ensure that all contributions reach the target recipients. A leading global container shipping company supports us and provides several 40’HC reefer containers in case the chiller and freezer exceed their capacity. The team operates one centralized warehouse, four kitchens as well as trucks and vans.
In the first 10 days of the mission, the whole Oscar Mission team transported 50 freight tons of aid cargo including about 5,000 meals, tons of mineral water and non-medical equipment to the health industry in Klang Valley, Kuala Lumpur. During all operations the hightest QHSSE standards on social distancing applied.
The Ministry of Health Malaysia has recognized Bertling Malaysia as logistics support provider during this pandemic crisis. We have also been contacted by the Ministry of Health Crisis Centre Office to support their logistics operations during the crisis.
