WANTED: Project Manager for Bertling UK

Our dynamic, international organization is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our team for an exciting opportunity in the UK.

The successful applicant will be involved with:

• Ultimate responsibility for delivery of the Services to Client’s objectives and contractual requirements
• Alignment of Client’s and Bertling’s objectives
• Responsible for Contract Kick Off Meeting and completion of SOP and any contract deliverables
• Develops and implements processes that build customer relationships, business and satisfaction
• Responsible for input, preparation, accuracy and timeliness of corporate management reports
• To be based on site as required
• To advise and agree with relevant Bertling Senior Management globally the resources to be deployed to deliver a specific project
• To review and monitor timely project invoicing to ensure overall client profitability is maintained
• Quality assurance - Ensuring all communications, reports, presentations and deliverables are of the highest standard meeting the commercial needs of the client
• To ensure Bertling Senior Management globally are briefed, as required, concerning specific project related matters requiring resolution, the general profitability of the account and any specific concerns raised by the client who may have an adverse impact upon the Account
• Provide a monthly report setting out Account status, KPI attainment and early warning of major client issues with Bertling’s account performance
• Selection, development, motivation and leadership of the support team to deliver the Project requirements
• Ultimate responsibility for Continuous Improvement Programme, including monitoring team performances and leadership in the development of remedial and improvement strategies to correct and maintain subcontractors optimum service delivery

The successful applicant will have/be:

• The ability to quickly understand the client’s organisational structure, strategies and fundamentals of the client’s business
• The knowledge of the entire logistics supply chain with a thorough knowledge and experience of all areas and where Bertling can add value
• The ability to work closely with the client on behalf of Bertling forming close and professional relationships with key decision makers maintaining positive working relationships at all time
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to handle conflicting priorities of colleagues
• Sound business, selling and negotiating skills with a proven track record of ensuring Bertling’s commercial objectives are met
• Project management skills
• Ability to focus on complex issues and deal with multiple problems simultaneously

• High level knowledge of integrated logistics
• Working knowledge of transport by all available modes (road, sea, rail, air) and out of gauge
• Understanding of standard financial reports and accounts
• Working knowledge of IT systems, PC literate with MS Outlook, Project, Excel, Word
• Highly accomplished professional with positive approach
• Expert in building relationships and able to communicate at all levels
• Self-motivated
• Team player and able to work on own initiative
