The successful applicant will be involved with:
- Generation and follow-up of quotations
- Continued customer service to maintain client relationships
- Assist in the preparation of bids, tenders, and quotations
- Interface with agents, vendors, and Bertling offices worldwide to obtain required information for complete and accurate quotations
- Assist with set up of new clients and vendors
- Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure timely responses and mutual cooperation
- Monitor and report the status of inquiries and quotations
The successful applicant will have/be:
- 3 to 5 years experience in logistics, shipping, or related industries
- Extensive knowledge of project cargoes, breakbulk, containerized, ro/ro, domestic transport, and air freight
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with customers and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Sense of urgency and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are a must
- Spanish speaking skills are a plus
